It's that big rectangular thing you're using as a coaster right now.

Only problem is, they're in fullscreen. It's worth it, though.

One of my younger brothers uses them as building blocks.

Smile: My new laptop was delivered to my dorm today!

Frown: The dorm staff requires all packages to be filed/accounted for and sorted before handing them out, and the sorting team is on break, so I won't actually get my new laptop for a couple hours. :(

I worked at Hollywood Video when people still rented VHS tapes. I have rewound hundreds if not thousands in those standalone rewinders. I actually still have one of those rewinders hooked up next to my VHS player which is hooked to my CRT with my retro systems.

SMILE: I just got a part-time job 2 hours a day/5 days a week which will allow me to just barely pay my student loan bills while still having time to look for freelance opportunites and a decent full-time job.

ANOTHER SMILE: I didn't even need to go in for an interview. After talking to the HR guy for a few minutes he said he was positive I would be an exceptional employee and he signed me off to go straight to orientation.

It does irritate me when I give a cashier $14.05 for an $8.80 purchase (this is a made up example) and it leaves them all flustered because they can't figure out that the change is $5.25. But if I was the owner of QT, I would make sure that the registers can determine the change so that I don't have to worry about whether or not you have good math skills.

If you have the DS, I recommend getting Brain Age Math. There's one exercise where you have to figure out the change. I think by doing that one, you can improve your change making skills. That's all it is, practice. It has other cool exercises such as the boss battle where you need to add quickly. My problem with this game is that I can't write fast and accurate enough to achieve the "rocket" image. I can always get the jet which is pretty good time.
Yeah, it makes sense why it's a big deal. But also WOULD make sense if the registers just automatically told people the change.

I think I just failed hard at it because I wasn't expecting such a test and well, I honestly haven't really touched math in years. I really do think when you stay away from it, it kind of fades away. I was in advanced courses in high school, but then I've dropped college algebra a whopping 3 times because the teachers I kept getting were absolutely horrible (one could barely speak English). Sucks... after the guy showed me my mistake though it completely made sense and I probably would have aced the test, but oh well.

Got a few more potential jobs I might hear back from soon, so crossing my fingers.

I did an A level in maths (post school, pre university for you Americans - from 16 to 18) and I struggled to help my girlfriends brother with his maths homework for the summer holidays. He's 14 :(

Haha, well to be honest I think schools (least earlier levels) continue to get more advanced, or maybe it's very dependent on the locations. I remember seeing some of my younger sisters homework growing up and it was just like "WTF, I wasn't doing that until high school".
