So Noise, what other systems are on your radar? It would be cool to see Neo Geo reviews on your blog...
NeoGeo is way too expensive for my taste, especially when pretty much every NG game I'd want to play is ported to PS2/etc.

It's funny that I'm still thought of as just the GB guy. Throughout my life I've owned so many consoles. Even as it stands now I have PS2, PS3, GCN, Wii, PSP, GBA, NDS (my wife's), X'Eye, Colecovision. I really don't feel I'm in need of another now. Just decided to cave on the DC because I'm most likely going to be going through an upcoming extended period of time where money will get pretty tight. I like the idea of at least grabbing a console that has a big homebrew scene so I can at least play some free games when itching for something different.

Good call Noise! The DC is excellent. Some of the best shooters around.

The nice thing is, if you are buying the pricey games and end up not liking some, they are really easy to resell. I personally don't burn games, but thats always an option too.

Might I recommend Gunbird 2? Its fairly cheap, has a nice us port, and TATE. Really a great game.

I'm pretty sure it'll be the first game I buy. I absolutely loved the first Gunbird.

Welcome to the fold, brother.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

 It is shocking for the Gameboy Guru. First Sony and now Dreamcast

@ noise - Couple Dreamcast exclusives I reviewed a while back. Wild Metal did get a PC appearance though, guess who developed it.

Wild Metal (Country) Dreamcast and PC exclusive.

Wow congrats noise! Its about time man!

Go here for the most alive Dreamcast community on the net. We have more homebrew than you can shake a stick at.

http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/dreamcast/

Also, all Dreamcasts play backups, it was just a myth Sega put out to keep people from ever even trying to burn games, they would look on the bottom and just say "Oh, I have the wrong version", and never even try.

Edit: Also another good thing to look at for reference is the Dreamcast top 100 as voted by the community at Dreamcast Junkyard.

^awesome! Been browsing the 'zone a bit and checking out all the amazing homebrew. I think I'm in for a total treat.

I'm also using some trade-in credit online to pick up an Agetec arcade stick, memory card and Gunbird 2. 8)

I definitely had a Dreamcast that would not play Last Hope, and I had to get a different console.

Nice call getting the agetek stick. Plays like a dream.
