You all win. (I'm finally getting a Dreamcast)

The trade is in motion. I'm sure many of you that have bugged me to get one for the last couple years have things you want to suggest. In truth, Im most excited about the lively homebrew scene.

Cool.

Now I'm gonna shock everyone: I don't really get the big deal about the Dreamcast. It has some good games, but it's my least favourite of the 4 sega home consoles I own.

Thats no to say I dislike it. I love Jet Set Radio, Chu Chu Rocket, Space Channel 5 etc. But when I look at my list of games I want, the Dreamcast one is much shorter than the master system, mega drive or saturn lists.

I can understand where you're coming from. Apart from Shenmue and Jet Set Radio, which are amongst my absolute favourites of all time, there isn't anything on Dreamcast that really jumps out at me.

yeah I looked at that. My goal was always to get one if I found one at a yard sale, or if I got a really easy trade. Last night I got a really easy trade. :)

Easy is good...in most cases

For starters make sure to grab; Cannon Spike, Jet Set (Grind) Radio, Puyo Puyo Fever, Rush 2049 (mindless multi with pals), PSO, and I'll just stop there for now.

Awesome! You're in luck because you can still buy brand new DC games for ridiculously low prices.

I can't remember the last time I played my DC. It was ok, nothing spectacular really. When it comes to Sega I'm more into SMS and Genesis/Sega CD. Although I am still trying to find a good Saturn deal. I lost out on ebay twice already w/ 2 auctions. :(

Enjoy your Dreamcast Noise!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Good. Make sure you get a VMU and a Jumper Pak. Get Rayman 2 ASAP, the DC version is the best you can play.

got a VMU. What's a Jumper Pak?

...Rayman 2 looks like something I wouldn't like.
