Re: What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
I'm basing this only on the consoles I own, so there is not much to choose from.
Favorite-Tie between the 360 and Gamecube. (Yeah, I'm different. I do like the Gamecube a bit more though.) I like the controllers and the available games. I prefer the controller for the 360 to PS3, so I get multiplat titles on it. I personally don't get all the bashing. Yes, there are a lot of FPS's, but really is that the consoles fault?
Least Favorite- N64. I still really like the console, but the smaller library I want and the ackward controller sometimes put me off.

Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360
WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Outside of its first few years when it had its share of would-be Dreamcast ports (the best of the bunch, too, with Panzer Dragoon Orta and Jet Set Radio Future) the lists of exclusive titles have been absolutely pathetic for both the original Xbox and its successor (even being merciful and discluding titles that also appeared on PC), unless you're just absolutely fucking nutso for driving sims and taking cover behind things. Obviously they're not the worst consoles of all time, but the culture that surrounds the brand both internally (total corporate garbage, completely lacking even the vaguest semblance of creativity) and its core fanbase (primarily bankrupt of any inspiration in their gaming, addicted to the most meaningless elements of games possible, and endlessly supporting corporate pandering by throwing gobs of money at the most blatant cash-in franchises in gaming) is just unforgivably bad.
And it's not just a case of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlyM_p116lY to me either. The Xbox fanbase has been the biggest (not the only, but biggest) factor in turning big-budget gaming into absolute the creative poverty we see today.
I fixed an old, broken Xbox 360 and it's literally my least-played console of all time. I absolutely hate the fucking thing. I'd sell it, but everyone around me already owns one, which just makes me angrier because it reminds me of all the undeserved dollars that Microsoft has gotten for their shitty console.
My favorite would be the Sega Dreamcast, though. I've stated my reasoning for this many times, most recently would be the Top 10 consoles thread.
Not liking a console is one thing, but is completely bashing the fanbase while your at it necessary? It makes it feel personal or something like we purposely did something to offend you.
And I've got to jump in and defend one of my favorite consoles. I'm not nearly as big of a fan of the 360, but I'm a HUGE fan of the original XBox. It's my favorite 5th-Gen console. It has the best graphics of the 4 systems, it usually has the best version of multiplatform games, and has some great exclusives. Plus it had XBox Live before it was the norm-thing for consoles and has that nifty harddrive already built-in.
And not any good games on it, pffft. Come on now. I can understand liking PS2's or Gamecube's library more, but to say XBox has nothing good is just plain wrong:
-Arx Fatalis
-Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2
-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
-Capcom Classics Vol. 1 & Vol. 2
-Capcom vs. SNK 2
-Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
-Darkwatch
-The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
-Fable
-Grand Theft Auto III
-Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
-Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
-Gun
-Halo 1 & 2
-Jade Empire
-Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
-Marvel vs. Capcom 2
-MechAssault 1 & 2
-Mega Man Anniversary Collection
-Metal Slug 3
-Metal Slug 4 & 5
-Panzer Dragoon: Orta
-Red Faction II
-Sonic Mega Collection Plus
-Soul Calibur II
-Spider-Man 1 & 2
-Star Wars: Battlefront 1 & 2
-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
-Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
-Taito Legends 1 & 2
-WWE Raw 2
-X-Men: Legends 1 & 2
Now that is one solid library of great games. If you can't admit it, you're in denial.

SNES is my favorite because of it's solid reliability and it's fuckin' epic, legendary library.
360 is my least favorite for the exact opposite reasons.

Out of those, I think only about 10% were exclusives. The existence of the Xbox has always been completely unnecessary -- it's just a box for games devoid of any creative personality whatsoever. Do you think that those games wouldn't have just ended up elsewhere if there wasn't such thing as the Xbox? All the brand does is needlessly fragment gaming's user base without offering anything substantial to the industry in return, with a corporate atmosphere that absolutely refuses to take a truly original chance on anything ever. Xbox Live is fine and all, but it's hard to give them great marks for that when SegaNet was around years prior. It's pretty well-documented (just ask Anthony817) that Microsoft aped alot from Sega in their early years, and while I'd rather have them ape Sega than anyone else, I don't think it's deserving of serious praise.
Again, they're not the worst consoles ever, but they've been the worst thing for gaming despite a handful of positive elements. Console gaming was much better off before Microsoft came and wrecked the party.

My least favorite? I don't really play my Wii too often because it looks rather crappy on my HDTV. The few games I played were really fun. It probably just gets the least amount of play time.
I remember hearing about Nintendo not going with the HD because at the time not everyone has afford an HDTV, or not everyone has yet to afford one, manufacturing wise, I consider that a smart move.
And one could say the results said the same thing - given all the console sales.

Re: What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
My favorite is the SNES, mainly because I grew up with one and I absolutely love 16 bit and 2D games. Super Mario World, Mariokart, Donkey Kong Country, TMNT IV, and Super Mario All Stars were my favorite games growing up and even today I'm discovering more great titles like F-zero, Starfox, Kirby Super Star and A Link to the Past. I guess my decision is nostalgia based but I can't get enough of what the SNES has to offer.
My least favorite has to be the N64. I was a Playstation kid during the 5th generation, and early 3D games never really appealed to me on the N64. Spyro the Dragon was way more fun for me than Super Mario 64. The few games on it I like I prefer other versions. I didn't play Goldeneye or Perfect Dark until after I was spoiled with Half Life 2, Call of Duty and Battlefield, so I can't really appreciate them that much. Still fun games, but I have other games in the same genre I'd rather play. The controller is almost unbearable for me, but that's just my opinion. I'd say that the N64 is my least favorite because I didn't get into it until way after it's release. Maybe if I played Ocarina of Time back when it was new I would like the system more.

Favorite: Brutal decision but probably ps1, followed by a two way tie of dreamcast and import saturn. However. I do love my genesis and snes as well, or Neo Geo!
Least: Wii, out of a TON of games, I might play about 25 of them and I only own 5 games for mine. Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Klonoa are two of them.

I have one hooked up over component to a projector displaying at 480p on a 100inch screen and I think it looks very sharp. You just can't be expecting ps3 graphics lol.
