What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
My least favorite console has to be my Wii. I originally loved it because of it's motion controls, and it is a great party console. After Super Smash Bros. Brawl the good games started to die off. No big franchise title games like Zelda, Mario, or Metroid were coming out. Plus a Next Gen console having no HD cables was disappointing. The controls also got annoying after a while. It felt weird to use the nunchuk and the wii remote. In most cases that was the only controller setup available on most games.
My most favorite console of all time was my Gamecube. I had played other consoles before it, but this was truly my first console I owned. It had a great variety of games for kids and adults. Some of my fondest gaming memories are playing Zelda the wind waker, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Mario Party games, Metal Arms: Glitch in the system, Animal Crossing, and Luigi's Mansion. The Gamecube was great for parties because of it's pick up and play style of games. It also had great single player games that could keep me entertained for hours.

Favorite: SNES hands down. Eh, we just recently had a thread celebrating it's 20th birthday, I'll just say there's a lot of history there and it's all around got a strong catalog of a lot of genres, some of my all time favorite RPG's and platformers, etc.
Least: I'll just say the DS I guess. It was fun while it lasted, but definitely a "phase" kind of system for me. There's still some games I want to play off and on, half of them will never be localized anyways though, and all around, I don't think it compares to the GB/GBA at all. Out of what I own, I also believe the Xbox and Wii (formally owned) are incredibly weak too. Some good first party stuff there, but all around they're nothing compared to their competition to me.

My least favorite is the Atari 2600. The joystick is so super-stiff (but at least this is fixed thanks to Sega Genesis controllers being compatible with it). Most of the games are too simple for me to be fun for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. And the sounds that come out of the thing grate on your soul. I still love the crap out of Missile Command, though.
My favorite is the SNES. Amazing library of games. Great first-party titles (Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Star Fox, Donkey Kong Country, and others) and incredible third-party support (Contra III, Super Castlevania IV, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, Sim City, Doom, etc). Great controllers that vastly improved on NES's already awesome controller. And the hardware is very reliable. I have yet to see a SNES that broke simply due to wearing-out, only seen non-working SNES's due to abuse done to it. Plus it's a great system to collect for as the games are relatively easy to find and many of them are cheap.

Re: What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
My least favorite would be the N64, I have ranted time to time why I don't like it, but in the nutshell, the controller is a deal breaker for me, I know some people liked it, but it is just not for me, I put off Zelda:OoT, Perfect Dark, Conker, and many more well known N64 games, because I did not like the controls, I have played Banjo and Kazooie, and Perfect Dark on the 360 and it made all the difference in the world because I am playing with a better controller. On a positive note, I do like Mario 64, Golden Eye, and the AKI wrestling games, and thats it.
My Favorite would be the NES, I felt like it was the perfect system, plus it was my first game system that introduced me to the world of gaming, I like most of the games that ever came out with the system, plus I love the sounds and graphics, I generally think its the most charming feature, especially by today's standards.

Favorite: SNES/N64, it's a toss-up but depends on the genre's you like.
Least Favorite: Sega Saturn
the Saturn is like a failed PS1, and the Dreamcast is a failed GameCube, i remember after the Dreamcast died, Sega ported most of there games over to the Cube.
also the N64 is a platformers dream, kinda like the Dreamcast is/was for Fighters/Shmups.
love my N64.

Re: What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
My favorite at the moment is the PS 3. My all time would be the Dreamcast as it represented something special when it was on the market, though I probably have gotten my money's worth more with the PS 2 than any other console I've owned and I'm rather fond of the SNES and Genesis as well for giving us the 16-bit golden age of gaming. It's never going to be that good again folks
My least favorite is easily the Xbox 360 and everything is represents. Not to say that nothing good has come of it, I love Mass Effect, Viva Pinata and digital games like Dishwasher Dead Samurai. However, the console has done a lot more damage to the industry than good I'd say and is the cause of many very annoying trends I see in the industry today

Re: What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
For the record, I'm only basing this off of consoles I've actually used.
My favourite is the PS3. Personally it has the largest amount and highest quality of my favourite genre: The RPG. And quite a lot of other quality games from other genre's.
Least favourite is the Wii. It cost me $250 dollars not including the game (Of which I own about 10) and I have not found a single thing worth playing on that system. Even if I did manage to find a good game I still wouldn't like the controller which is the absolute worst of any console I've used.

Haven't tried em all but of the ones I own I'd say the N64 is my least favorite. SFC/SNES and Saturn are my faves.

Re: What is your least favorite and most favorite console?
These are just of the systems I have owned or played:
Favorite: PS1 and onward. Sony just has the most games on one system that I like and consistently play. If only it had Metroid it would be perfect
Least Favorite: Dreamcast. I know a lot of people love the system but in my time owning it there just weren't any games on it that I liked or really played. And looking through it's library now I doubt there's that many I'd still want to play. Plus I thought it's controller was a tad too bulky.
