Finally got a chance to respond to everyone who emailed about streaming. If you didn't get a response please email me again and include "RacketBoyTV" in the subject.
Also today around 4 PM EST I'll be streaming some Umihara Kawase. Come watch and hang out.
The Official RacketboyTV Topic
Re: The Official RacketboyTV Topic
So, I'm busy right now trying to get enough posts to be an applicable broadcaster.
Hopefully in the near future you can all watch me play some Scumm games, and overall breathe some more life into the channel.

He has a point... While I don't dislike them, it kinda breaks the RB branding.emwearz wrote:Should change its name to SegaAddictsTV, everytime I watch it people are talking about Sega Addcits.MattJay wrote:Surprise stream with some dudes from Sega Addicts before we record our podcast for this week.

Re: The Official RacketboyTV Topic
Just a reminder that ANYONE can stream. I got back to everyone's emails but you all seemed to stop wanting to take part in the channel. If you want a block just email me and put RBTV in the subject.
Also I have the blessing of Mr. JewWario to upload any episodes of his hit online show You Can Play This to our channel. He'll also be joining us sometime in the near future for a stream.
YCPT is a guide to classic and modern Japanese import games that YOU, yes YOU can play. He provides some history of the title and a short intro to the controls and anything you might need to know to play the game even if you don't speak/read Japanese. I've found plenty of titles that I've grown to love from this series like Kenka Bancho and Umihara Kawase.
What's your favorite YCPT episode?

Re: The Official RacketboyTV Topic
We have most of the stuff from the Youtube channel up and Tom was adding more the other day.racketboy wrote:BTW, you're free to rebroadcast anything off the RB Youtube channel..
Sorry it's been pretty dead lately, guys. I just started a full time job.
We're going to start doing a nightly streaming block. I'm thinking something like 8-12PM EST? I'll schedule each night by person who wants to broadcast. And you can have anyone on the call you'd like as long as they're members of the RB community. I've been talking to Weasels about how to determine who could do this and the new rule is if you'd like to broadcast all you need is at least 50 RB posts. Hurrito was able to build that much in a couple nights and she's having a blast in the community so I think it's a good number.
And again, applications are still and always will be taken. Just post in this thread, email me and put RBTV in the subject. Also just let me know what you're interested in broadcasting. I'd like to do some lengthier games that you'd be able to commit to finishing so we can save them in the channel's library.

Re: The Official RacketboyTV Topic
Just read the op of this thread. I have experience seeing as I used LiveStream before. You don't need to use Procaster. In fact, it was desynching audio for me. The stream function that is built into the site is much better. Using Webcammax is another alternative program that is great for users who don't have a particularly powerful PC. It acts as a webcam what streams off of your PC in a screen capture and can also switch to an external webcam if you have one plugged in. The admin/broadcaster CP on Livestream should recognize it as a webcam. It streams with no audio desynch. Hopefully this will help those who want to broadcast in the future. Keep your eyes on those programs and choose whichever one runs the best.

I'll look into that. We've had no problems with audio synching, my only issue has been a slight time lag. I'm saying something 20 seconds before anyone in the chat hears/sees it. This can be a bit annoying when we're doing a stream and the other people on our skype call are hearing me in time but seeing everything I'm playing half a minute later.arnold_the_bartender wrote:Just read the op of this thread.
