Yeah, I'm North of the LIE as well, I'm pretty close to the North Shore actually.

That reminds me, gotta make sure the batteries in my PSP and DS are charged!

Well, good luck to us all!

I'm fully anticipating losing power. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. I'll try and check in on a mobile phone if need be.

I'm in Maine. Sunday's when it's really gonna hit here, though. I think I'm like, 700 feet above sea level though... :P

I find this amazing that there are 100+ year old pumps secondhand from the construction of the Panama Canal that are still used to keep the subway clear on a daily basis.

All ready for whatever happens.. (although I'm about an hour and a half away from the shore in NJ, so I doubt it'll be much more than lots of rain and some 30mph winds..)

For anybody who loses electricity - make sure to have your bathtubs filled with water. Toilets need water to flush..

My flight got cancelled to New York. Katamari ball is rolling into new york City at a big slow pace. I have to go to orientation meeting on Monday. I hope I leave on Sunday or the orientation meeting could be delayed again. I have a little more time to pack up. I'm surprised east coast got earthquake, hurricane, whats next !

I'm also getting flights canceled due to this :(

And I've spent over 30 minutes (so far) waiting to get my call answered to see the alternatives...

We have a glass door outside of our front door...I mean, we had a glass door.

Lots of tree limbs in my backyard, and the trees are swaying. I haven't checked to see if we're through the worst of it or not, but God bless homeowners insurance.
