That's pretty cool.Gamerforlife wrote:Well it seems Rikimaru, Ayame(from Tenchu) and Raikoh(from Otogi)are playable characters in 3D Dot Game Heroes. They're not user created either. It seems like the developers put them in there. Pretty cool

Re: I WANT MORE NINJA GAMES!!!!
Anyone ever played Nightshade for PS2?

I just heard about it. Supposedly it's the sequel to Shinobi for PS2. I've owned Shinobi for PS2 like since it came out. And I loved it.
So can anyone tell me if Nightshade is as good, is it worth picking up?

From Software is always referencing their games and characters in other games. 3D Dot Game Heroes has a lot of them, the biggest one of course being the From Cave where they're always talking about Armored Core and Demon's Souls.Gamerforlife wrote:Well it seems Rikimaru, Ayame(from Tenchu) and Raikoh(from Otogi)are playable characters in 3D Dot Game Heroes. Raikoh is in the 360 version of Enchanted Arms as a playable character (as well as Metal Wolf Chaos, which is also a usable model in 3D Dot Game Heroes) too. One of the characters in Ninja Blade is definitely inspired from his character design also.

Great game. One of my favorites from the PS2 era. It is probably overall easier than Shinobi, but also more frustrating. There are some decent unlocks like Hotsuma from PS2 Shinobi, Joe Musashi, one of the bosses from the main game and a few different outfits. There is also a time attack mode where you race against the clock for the highest TATE possible. It's a solid purchase if you are ready to look past the cheap deaths and outdated bottomless pits.BurningDoom wrote:Anyone ever played Nightshade for PS2?

Thanks. As long it's not an over $20 PS2, I'll probably pick it up.wip3outguy7 wrote:Great game. One of my favorites from the PS2 era.
