The worst fanbases

Music snobs. More specifically, the ones who do not play instruments. I run into a lot of these kinds of people as I play in a band and book shows occasionally. Their opinion is the end all opinion, period, and usually they got it from wikpiedia or some other shitty web site.

I hate music snobs, too. People that look down on you because you like a certain band. But one part of this bothers me. People that don't play instruments shouldn't have an opinion on music? Why? Just because you don't play an instrument means your tone deaf?

You should avoid looking in to Hanamaru Kindergarten. It's a show based on the premise that kindergartners are shipping themselves with their teacher.

So... basically 3-4 year old kids being on a relationship with their 25+ year old teachers... is it me or humans suck?

I suppose I should clarify that the adults don't want a relationship with the kids, cause it's horrible. It's that adorable kid love that they get in to. The whole series tastes like diabedes.

But yeah, I pretty much try and avoid music discussion with most people unless I already know we have common interests and tastes.

if you enjoy an extensive number of bands in one particular genre, you're an elitist.

rap isn't real music
punk and metal are just mindless noise
country is for hicks and rednecks
pop is for sheeple
rock is for drunks
classical is for faux-intellectuals
complex stuff is dumb wankery
simple stuff isn't worth your time

...but yeah, I don't think there's anything quite as purely subjective as music taste (besides perhaps taste in food). Perhaps it's fitting that music fans take such hard-lined stances on it?

So you have the right to have this opinion, but an "exclusive" gamer doesn't have a right to theirs? "Truly amazing" is highly subjective. Seems like you are employing a double standard...

Just because you have only one plattform doesn't means you have to hate the other. How much more complicated can it be? When I used to have a Playstation 2 and only that I didn't diss my friends for having a Gamecube or an Xbox, if anything I wanted to get one too but I didn't say "XBOX SUCKS", "PC SUCKS" or "GAMECUBE SUCKS". Besides, again, there's a difference between a fanboy and a gamer, I don't hate PC gamers or PC gaming at all (Most of my favorite games are PC exclusive games like I have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Harvester, Phantasmagoria or King's Quest), I hate the fanboys that think they are better and smarter than an average gamer.

The original comparison wasn't between a PS2 and an Xbox/GCN, it was between PC gaming and console gaming. Like I said before, if a PC gamer really likes the best possible graphics and most complex control schemes available, than they would be in the right to dismiss consoles all together. Same with someone who really likes the "pop-it-in-and-play" feature and doesn't mind the "dated" graphics of a console (since console graphics are always at least a little bit dated compared to the best PCs). I don't really care if they are dismissive of PCs. Fanboyism about this stuff can be ugly, I agree, but the base opinion itself can certainly be justified.
