If hipsters = people that hate things just because they got popular. Then count me in on hating those people too. I'm a huge metal-head so I hear that kind of crap from other metal-heads all the time. "Oh, you like Mudvayne? They're pussy-sell-outs."

Just because something gets popular, doesn't mean they sold-out. It just means they found a way to reach the masses. Selling-out is completely changing what you are or completely changing your sound just to make money. That's different.

Pretty much, the biggest hipster joke is:

I like X before it was cool, or Oh this band? You've probably never heard of them.

The funny thing is I say stuff like that all the time. However I'm keen to share and get other people interested too instead of hoarding it away and discarding if it becomes too popular.

I hated hipsters before it was popular to hate hipsters. Now it's so mainstream. :(

Apple fanboys and people that go out of their way to attack MLP:FIM without watching the show.

Oh, and MS Paint Adventures. I admit I like both Problem Sleuth and Homestuck (see my avatar for proof) and would recommend them to anybody, but oh my god, if I was Andrew Hussie I would never ever ever ever EVER go out in public.

those underlined words are links by the way

I hate hipsters but I love messing with them. Especially the ones with fixed gear bikes. Up until a few months ago I lived in a part of Texas called the Hill Country.

Hill Country.

Guess what kind of bike is of absolutely no value in a place called 'Hill Country'? But good luck getting a straight answer out of a hipster about why they ride fixed gear. If one of the idiots would come out and say 'oh me and mine adopted NYC bike courier conventions because we wanted to distinguish ourselves from other cyclists and therefor get attention that way' I'd buy him/her a beer. As it is I just shake my head and smile as I whiz by these fixie riders. Or walkers as it usually is. In a place called Hill Country.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

AppleQueso wrote:All fanbases have their bad apples, and like I've been saying over and over again, EVERYTHING has a terrible fanbase if you dig deep enough.

Of course, admitting that wouldn't allow for this 14 page pissing contest now would it?
No, I think we all understand that fact. And this is the thread where we complain about those terrible fanbases.

I have a hard time keeping a straight face around fans of Michael Bay's "Transformers" films.
