I'm still playing Beyond Good and Evil HD. Had to start over due to some annoying missables in the Factory stage. So annoying how people always say that the game has no missables when it does(health upgrades are missable). I had totally forgot about that.

The HD port of BG&E is full of problems. Bad camera, game breaking bugs, etc. I don't remember having all these issues in the Gamecube version I played years ago and I suspect they are problems that existed in the PC version they probably used for this HD port. I'm pretty sure the GC version was the original target platform for this game and is probably more stable. It's a testament to the game's quality though that it is still playable and enjoyable despite those problems. Having the HD visuals and achievements/trophies helps make those problems forgivable. Nice having the dark room available again too for people who never got the last M disc in the older versions of the game. I truly hate the idea of having to go to a company website to unlock additional content though and hope that no company ever does that again. Ubisoft pulled this with Peter Jackson's King Kong too, but fortunately that game had a cheat code you could use instead
That's a shame to hear. Beyond Good & Evil is such a wonderful game, I'm saddened to hear the HD version has so many issues.
Yeah, but they don't completely ruin the game. The camera issues in some parts can be adapted too once your familiar with the spots where they occur, but they would be annoying for someone playing through those parts for the first time

As for the game breaking bugs, keep multiple saves and you're pretty safe. They're pretty random, but they can occur. I got warped forward in the game's story at one point, which crashed my system. I've also seen characters get stuck in the environment or fall off a ledge and get stuck in the pit below and I saw Jade fall off of a wall I was clinging to in a stealth scenario. I also found that if you die three times in the game's first chase sequence the Xbox will get frozen with a black screen. The HD port definitely seems unpolished and I don't know if these are new problems or old ones. There are various reports around the net of bugs and glitches in the older versions of the game, particularly the PC version, but you could be a lucky player and never encounter any of them I suppose. I don't recall any of these problems when I played through the game twice on the Gamecube

Also, a lot of players have complained about the limited options in changing X and Y axis in the controls. That didn't really pose a problem for me though as I just adapted

We have two copies we've picked up. From time to time I sit down with it, and then I proceed to get my ass handed to me. It is possible to beat it...but it's not easy.
I've managed to finish it... once, and yeah, total pain in the ass.
Yeah, isn't there only like 4-5 stages or something? They just get so complicated later on and I will NEVER forget the pits in stage 4 or something like that right off the bat. Not to mention that one huge jump you have to make perfectly at the end of stage 1... if you miss, game over. Brutal!

I also always hate that arena fight with like two bosses or something. That whole level (4 maybe?) is annoying. Can't forget the boulders that often block your path as well and the only way to get past them without bombs is to punch them... while losing health!

Still, gotta love the game. lol

I bought Comix Zone new back in the day.

I adored that game, and at the time I played it so much that it wasn't long before I was able to beat it.

Not only do you have to be good at the fighting aspect of the game, you have to learn the safest routes, locations of hidden items, and know the best ways to clear each panel with the most health intact. Its a game that takes lots of practice.

Having said that, I haven't beaten it legitimately in years. Its one of those games where its very obvious if you haven't played it in a long time.

There are 6 levels, by the way, for those who were wondering.

Indeed, I got really good at it back in the day (and played it on the real hardware too), but when I went back to it say via some emulation off and on or on some of the Sega Genesis collections, I got destroyed pretty easily. lol, kind of like a shmup almost you just gotta keep practicing like you said (although I can always conquer Thunder Force IV no matter how long I take breaks from it 8) )

Started Crash Bandicoot: Warped last night. I'm liking it so far. The graphics are better, there's more variety to the gameplay, the world select hub works much better than 2's, and the boss fights are more difficult. 2 had stupidly easy bosses. Warped was also designed for the Dualshock, unlike the first two games, which I like. Multiple running speeds and rumble are things I like.

More Phantom Dust, it seems to be a short game but so far I'm loving it, the biggest flaw is the deformed character models and that's it.

Age Of Empires Online, so far it's 50-50, the big problem comes with quests giving you items you can't use without paying.
