It's more of a case that he didn't actually write 1-3 until the mid 90s. There's even some production notes and stuff from Empire Strikes Back that refer to it as "Star Wars Episode II".

The prequels are loosely based on elements from some of the really early drafts of Star Wars, yes, but that's about it. If he'd actually written all 6 films beforehand, I guarantee you wouldn't have had things like Luke and Leia's incestual kiss from Empire.

MLP and Invader Zim. The former has died down alot, but MLP is everywhere. It is good to be enthusiastic about what you like, I guess, but the MLP fanbase (excluding 5 year old girls) is a whole different monster.

90% of Zim's fanbase today didn't give a rip about the show while it was still being produced, which says something about them.

GASP! A forum thread about things people don't like?

Not sure about fanbases, but I never got into the show SCRUBS. I don't hate the show, but shows that add the "whoop!" sound effect every time someone slips just irks me. I also don't like that kelsey grammar guy, and people who discuss politics without any formal education or experience in the subject.

I'm not a fan of picky eaters who complain that someone messed up their order at Burger King. "But it's supposed to be made MY WAY!". Shut up. You're ordering from Burger King. If the "cook" forgot to use two bottom buns and your ketchup isn't squirted into a smiley face on top of our burger served with only symmetrical fries, tough.

I'm also not a fan of pumice stone fanbases. Listen, I'd rather have a callus or two if it means I don't have to grind my heels into a bloody pulp.

And someone please do something about lollipop sticks. Those things disintegrate quicker than the candy does, and I did not pay five cents for a mouth full of paper.

Juggalos/Juggaletes/people that follow the ICP trend.

I really do not understand basing your life and afterlife on what 2 people that dress up ike demented clowns seems like a good idea.

I mean, these guys write songs about cotton candy (female anatomy) and popsickles (... pretty obvious), and somehow have tricked people into believing that they are going to a carnival when they die.

Who the fuck would want to go to a carnival when they die.

Lets not even talk about how bad the actual music is.

Oh yes, I know he never planned it being six films since the beggining. What I find interesting about Star Wars is that he starts in the middle, not of the films, but at the middle of the story being told. You know, good guy battles evil empire, saves princess, "I'm not like you". It has a name, but I don't remember how it was called.

It's like introduction scenes in a TV series. They are hard to do. You don't have anything to work on and you have to feed the audience how a character is and how he is supposed to work in the show's universe. That's a lot of stuff to wade through before the real fun begins.

It's definitely a difficult thing to pull off. I've found out way too many times that I dismissed a great show prematurely because the beginning wasn't compelling at all.

What baffles me is when someone is brilliant at hitting the ground running when they start a new series, but cannot for the life of them figure out how to get the story to go anywhere after it reaches full stride. Rumiko Takahashi would be a perfect example of this.

Any kind of fanbase that will not accept other ideas/games/movies or fanbases that actually know nothing about the actual game/movie/books/etc. One example of the latter would be current Invader Zim fans. I don't know anybody other than myself IRL who actually watched it when it first came out.

I also am aggrivated with biased books in schools right now, like ones that always make the Confedracy out as the bad guys, and make it seem as if the North didn't have any racism. They were just as bad as the South, and in some cases worse. They also make it seem as if the war was about Slavery, rather than the ability of a State to govern itself.....
