Fortunately, a lot of the great Game Gear games have Master System counterparts. You may have to import from Europe and Brazil to get a few of them, however.

Just received my master system. Hooked it up and it works but theres no sound... Also its a model 3000 so it has no built in games besides the snail maze.

Edit: There is sound but its really low and staticy.

The best built in game to get if you ask me - it's the only one you can't purchase seperately. My master system II doesn't have it unfortunately, but at least I get free Alex Kidd :D

Are you using RF or the AV Cable?

If you have a Genesis Model 1 AV cable use that on the Master System and see if that fixes the issue. If you don't, just order one from here.

I'll buy it from a local store that has it for the same price as it is on here.

P.S. Is the master system region locked?

Nope, afaik any PAL game will work on an NTSC-U system and vice versa. I think Mark III carts are completely the wrong size and shape though.
