I vote you start with Castlevania though. Bloodlines and Rondo of Blood are so damn good its almost hard to believe.

If you want to start with the very best of each series I'd say start with Super Metroid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and Mega Man 2.

I have not played Shadow of the Colossus. A friend even sent me a demo disc of it and I never bothered to pop it in despite hearing nothing but good things about the game. I cannot explain my disinterest, it baffles even me.

I put some of them on my summer challenge list, so have been able to cross off quite a few. Of course there's still a lot that I have yet to get to . Maybe next summer...

Metroid, Castlevania, and Mega Man. Go with the originals first.

I never played a Castlevania game either. Or any Super Smash Bros. game, or Modern Warfare 2, or Black Ops, or any DDR, or either Super Mario Galaxy games, and I haven't played any Mario Kart games except the original.
