That's not exactly true. It's how you cook a food that can lead to the loss of nutrients; cooking does not always lead to the loss of nutrients. Frying a sweet potato is a lot different than baking one.

With all this egg talk, I would like to point out that people would be a lot less likely to eat eggs if they were called "Chicken Periods", which is what they are.
For that matter, cooking that damages nutrients reduces them. It doesn't eliminte them as some would have you believe. If you're worried about losing a portion of your nutrients due to cooking, you can just have seconds. It's not like we're short on food in the developed world. Don't overdo it on taking seconds though, obviously.

I always laugh when people are like "OMG, UR LOEZING UR NUTRIENTZ!" Oh no, how will I ever get more?!

best place in my case would probably to look up academic websites such as WilsonSelectPlus or Gale/First Search which are the two named websites I use as well as google news for news articles.

Or drink the broth too.

I hear eating a raw egg while drinking milk is a good combination as they somehow compliment each other when breaking down the nutrients. I'm not sure if that's true or not.
