Weird that your PS2 Action Replay Max needed the memory card, but as you pointed out maybe a different version. The loadup lockup makes sense, every cheat disc I tried to install with HDAdvance/HDLoader did the same thing.CFFJR wrote:Alrighty, I tried it out, and here's the deal.
Putting the disc in my PS3, once I started it up it took a very long time (30 seconds) just for it to show the Playstation 2 logo screen. After that, the screen goes dark and everything stops.
I gave it a couple of minutes just to be sure, and nothing.
So, PS3 verdict: never mind the eject issue, it doesn't even load.
Just to be sure my disc hadn't gone to crap on me, I popped it in my PS2 (which took a lot of futzing around behind the tv to hook it up, so, you know, be grateful.) without the memory card. It did boot, but while it was loading I was prompted to insert the card ("hardware") and it can't be started without it.
So there you have it.
I thought about that, and its probably possible, but I don't have the means to try it myself. Plus, wouldn't that wipe the actual memory card? I've never done those transfers before.noiseredux wrote:couldn't you copy the AR memory card to a PS3 Virtual memory card?
