But seriously, DX:IW was a fucking abomination. I'd take the PS2 DX over that pile of slop. The original, on the other hand, is probably the closest we'll get to a Citizen Kane of gaming.

And hey, it's okay to not like Deus Ex, Hobie. A lot of people were wrong about Citizen Kane back then, too. :wink:

IW wasn't a bad game. It was just a huge, deluxe combo meal of a disappointment. But not actually bad. Sort of like if you were supposed to go to the moon for a field trip, and it was changed at the last minute to a trip to the zoo.

I tried playing Invisible War, but it wouldn't let me click on the first upgrade or whatever, and the game required doing that to proceed...so I was stuck.

Then it kicked my dog.

Needless to say, I wasn't impressed.

The original did take me a few tries to get into, but mostly that was due to me sucking at it. Once it clicked/I got better, I was hooked.
