No, I was shaking my hairy arm/fist and making an angry face. Kinda hard to hold the camera out to take your own picture.CFFJR wrote:Are you hiding your tears behind that hairy arm hobie?

I'm gonna be Captain Obvious and say Mother 3.
The ending of that game stuck with me for weeks. Everything about that scene was perfect.

The bad ending? I got the best possible outcomes for all of the playable characters and I still saw at least one character, arguably two, get screwed in the end. It's a depressing gameRyaNtheSlayA wrote:Yeah. The bad endings for Heavy Rain are extremely depressing.
Flower's final level is something I can only describe as euphoric. I loved every moment of that stagelisalover1 wrote:I cried in tears of joy for a long while at the end of Flower. It was just so overwhelmingly beautiful...

I cried at the end (the good ending) of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Kinda cheesy, I know.

The music from the first Final Fantasy on NES gets me teary eyed sometimes. In '91 a friend of mine died far too young, who was crazy about FF... it was likely his last completed RPG.
I never really played the game until it came out on the VC, and those haunting, melancholy chiptunes sound so timeless and ethereal I can't help but think about his short time on earth, life and death and the great beyond.

Final Fantasy VIII's ending cinematic when Rinoa meets what looks like a dead Squall at their happy spot. Great game!

I got almost to the end of that game a while back, but for some reason, I never finished it. I think I'll do that before summer is over.YoshiEgg25 wrote:I just beat the Unwound Future and I nearly cried.lisalover1 wrote:...as well as at the end of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

I thought the ending of Prof Layton and the Lost/Unwound Future was sadder. It really aims to hit you where it hurts for that onelisalover1 wrote:I cried in tears of joy for a long while at the end of Flower. It was just so overwhelmingly beautiful... I also cried near the beginning of Final Fantasy VII during the cutscene that occurs when you return to Aeris' mother's house after she is kidnapped. Oh, I also cried during pretty much every Phoenix Wright game, as well as at the end of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. Finally, I bawled like a baby from the events leading up to and including the "Heaven" dungeon in Persona 4.![]()
Games are most definitely an art if they can evoke such powerful emotions.
