I recently traded a member on here my spare NES for a working O.G. XBOX. There were a few issues, but eventually my XBOX was shipped out to me. The console was supposed to arrive at my door by July 12th, it is now July 23rd, and I have absolutely nothing.
I checked the tracking information, and it reached a sorting facility in Allen Park, MI on the 9th. This is the last of the info regarding the tracked package. I called up the Allen Park facility, and was made aware that they had sent it out to the sorting facility in Livonia (where I currently reside).
I drove up to the Livonia post office/sorting facility, gave them all the info I had, and the woman at the counter looked it up on her computer. She told me that they sent it out, but the package did not arrive yet. She told me they used Parcel Shipping (?) and that it was the cheapest, and slowest form of doing so. She told me it could take up to a week for them to receive the package that way.
It's been well over a week since the 9th, and I still have nothing. Personally, I think the employee I spoke with honestly had no clue what to tell me, and made something up on the spot just to get me out of her hair for the day.
In a nutshell: USPS lost my package while shipping between sorting facilities. They lost an O.G. XBOX.... can you believe it?
I know a lot of you do plenty of online trading/shopping/etc. and was wondering if anything similar has happened to any of you, and what you suggest I do about my current issue.
Thank you for reading all of this.
