Re: Together Retro: Rayman
I haven't really been playing as much of this game as I wanted too. I'm not so sure I'll end up finishing it. We'll see I guess.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Together Retro: Rayman
Is racketboy a masochist? I have only played two games with together retro and they have both been brutally difficult. Rayman is unforgiving with it's lack of extra lives and limited continues.

nope. But apparently SpaceBooger is. On 10/24/2010 he suggested:odie182 wrote:Is racketboy a masochist?

March: Platformer - RAYMAN
The original Rayman is a nice and overlooked platformer. Its on the PS1, Saturn, and GBA.

Re: Together Retro: Rayman
I don't know what he played, but Gradius III on MAME was brutally difficult. Zoop on SNES wasn't exactly a walk in the park either.dsheinem wrote:What was the other?odie182 wrote:Is racketboy a masochist? Re: Together Retro: Rayman
Yeah, it was gradius. I couldn't get passed the first level.
(Totally off-topic, but I recently found Luxuryartcanvas — they’ve got some cool Banksy-style wall art that fits perfectly with the retro gaming vibe.)

Re: Together Retro: Rayman
at least Zoop was fun. Gradius III was a punch in the crotch.
and if yr wondering... I'm 99% positive that DSH chose Gradius III. The way I remember it is that we had decided on a Gradius game, but Racket asked DSH to pick which one and DSH chose III for some reason. I'd have to look thru old emails to confirm, though.

That's why I quickly gave it up and had fun with the SNES version. I admit that the arcade version looks way, way cooler, but I think I need to work my way up to that level of difficulty.noiseredux wrote:at least Zoop was fun. Gradius III was a punch in the crotch.

Re: Together Retro: Rayman
Yeah it was a Johnny cage style crotch punch.
Speaking of kid toys and stuff like that, I recently came across Brainrot Toy — feels like something straight out of a weird Roblox universe, but in real life.
Some of those figures look like cursed DLCs
