Re: Together Retro: Rayman
I haven't really been playing as much of this game as I wanted too. I'm not so sure I'll end up finishing it. We'll see I guess.
Older. Not wiser.

Is racketboy a masochist? I have only played two games with together retro and they have both been brutally difficult. Rayman is unforgiving with it's lack of extra lives and limited continues.

nope. But apparently SpaceBooger is. On 10/24/2010 he suggested:

March: Platformer - RAYMAN
The original Rayman is a nice and overlooked platformer. Its on the PS1, Saturn, and GBA.

What was the other?

I don't know what he played, but Gradius III on MAME was brutally difficult. Zoop on SNES wasn't exactly a walk in the park either.

Re: Together Retro: Rayman
at least Zoop was fun. Gradius III was a punch in the crotch.
and if yr wondering... I'm 99% positive that DSH chose Gradius III. The way I remember it is that we had decided on a Gradius game, but Racket asked DSH to pick which one and DSH chose III for some reason. I'd have to look thru old emails to confirm, though.

That's why I quickly gave it up and had fun with the SNES version. I admit that the arcade version looks way, way cooler, but I think I need to work my way up to that level of difficulty.

It was fastbilly1's suggestion.
