Really? SotN was released in early 1997, while the Dreamcast wasn't released until late in 1998.

That or the canceled Dreamcast CV is being confused with the canceled 32X CV, which did contribute some elements to SotN.

I never knew about these 32X or Dreamcast games. You learn something new everyday. How many Castlevania games are there out there, though, it seems like it's not that big of a loss. Still, Castlevania on Dreamcast probably would have blown me away back then with as much detail to the style they put into Castlevania games, and how much ahead of PS1 & N64 Dreamcast was in the graphics department.

I don't know whatever happened to this.

I have an issue of OPM that has a full page of screens and previews of this. I'll try to upload it when I have a chance.

I thought of this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traxion_(game)

Traxion was a LucasArts game announced pretty early in the PSP's lifespan. It sounded similar to Vib Ribbon:

The game combined music and puzzles by allowing players to user their own MP3s, stored on a memory stick, as the basis for more than 20 puzzles.[1] From your music collection, the game created 24 minigames around the audio. The style and pace of each game would vary depending on the rhythm of the song and the genre of the song. The background and objects in the game were changed by the game engine to match the songs. The game would have also come with a couple of tracks.[3][4]

One of the minigames developed before cancellation was one where the player had to hit notes in time with the music. In another, a cooking minigame, food flies at a chef in time to the music, and the player must control the chef to prepare the food, also in time with the music.[3]

Here are some pics from the Elder Scrolls wiki.

And here's a description:
It was planned to lack the free-roaming game play usually associated with the Elder Scrolls series. According to executive producer Todd Howard, the game would have featured 10 large levels that look much like areas in the console versions, but more concentrated. Eighteen out of the twenty one skills from Oblivion were present. The controls were influenced by Metroid Prime. "The analog stick will allow you to move forward, backward, and turn sideways. Holding L will allow you to strafe, and holding R will let you look around the area from your character's perspective." There has never been any official reason given for its cancellation or even official confirmation that it was canceled.
If your pics are different you should post them up in the archiving section. :)

well the DC one was going to be 3D

and considering the quality of every other 3D castlevania we'd ever gotten, it probably would've sucked anyway.

Even if one is the same; chances are you might have a higher quality image coming from a magazine.
