Nice to see you got one!

Looking at the consoles you own, it looks like you are on your way to a full Nintendo set. Might I suggest doing whatever you can to track down an NES and SNES?
I got my N64 and Super Mario 64, Goldeneye, and OOT.
Great! I highly recommend Wave Race 64, Pilotwings 64, Mario Kart 64 and F-Zero X next. They should all be quite cheap.

I plan on getting a SNES, but I do believe I will pass on the NES. Most of the NES games I want I can get as remakes, so I would rather not have that. I also want to pick up a BC PS3, but I'm not sure on PSX and PS2 games. Admittedly, I'm strapped for cash and jobless (in Highschool, no license yet) so I can't spend too much right now, and I am on the lookout for deals. I want to pick up Starcraft 64, HM64, Space Station Silicon Valley, both Banjo's, Loz:MM, and possibly a couple of others.

PS1/PS2 wise I was looking at Acme Arsenal (exclusive PS2 level), Sheep Raider(I'm a big Loony Tunes fan...), Harvest Moon:BTN (I like Harvest Moon...), Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, God of War games, and that one where you ride a dragon.

You probably need to give your cartridge and system a good cleaning. That will most likely solve this problem.

Clean the cartridge contacts using q-tips and at least 70% isopropyl alcohol. Contact cleaner would be even better, but you're more likely to have rubbing alcohol already. For the system, use a credit card or something and wrap a very thin piece of cloth around it. Make sure the console is unplugged. Put some alcohol on the cloth and stick it in an out of the cartridge slot.

Make sure you give both the cart and system plenty of time to dry before trying them out again.

Okay guys, another update. (Like anybody cares...)

I think I've got my N64 lineup pretty much made up. I might be missing some/pick up some other things, but this is what I am looking at (?=not sure):

Both Zeldas
Super Mario 64
Wetrix
Banjo Games?
Blast Corps
Harvest Moon 64
Starcraft 64
Army Men Games?
Doom 64?
Conker?
Starcraft 64
Donkey Kong 64?
Sin and Punishment
Bangai O (Is it Jap text heavy? If not, then I will get)
Ogre Battle (I haven't been able to understand how this plays. How does it play?)
Super Smash Bros
Space Station Silicon Valley
Tom and Jerry Fists of Fury?
Duck Dodgers?
Command and Conquer? (Have had this suggested, don't know anything about)

Comments/Additions welcome. Also still looking for any good imports for N64. If I only get Sin and Punishment and Bangai O I'll buy a couple of cheap games and swap backs. Otherwise I'll cut tabs.

I'll comment.

Both Zeldas both are fun! Get them.
Super Mario 64 get it for sure. It's one of the better 3D platformers ever released
Wetrix no idea
Banjo Games? I guess fun, but I never bothered to get into them
Blast Corps fun, so get it!
Harvest Moon 64 never played it, but it looks cool. If you have a ton of time on your hands to get into this sort of game, then go for it
Starcraft 64 see my comment on Harvest Moon. I don't see the point though, when a superior PC version exists
Army Men Games? no idea
Doom 64? it's different than the PC version, but still very playable. Get it if cheap
Conker? best non-Mario N64 platformer, IMO
Starcraft 64 do you really want two copies of this?
Donkey Kong 64? unnecessary, but get it if you REALLY like platformers
Sin and Punishment if you like fun games, then GET IT! It's kind of like Panzar Dragoon, but better
Bangai O (Is it Jap text heavy? If not, then I will get) No Japanese knowledge is necessary. It is a cool game, but I never could get into it. I have the DC version. I say get it if it's cheap
Ogre Battle (I haven't been able to understand how this plays. How does it play?) have you ever played an SRPG? It's an SRPG
Super Smash Bros if you have the Wii or GCN version, this is pointless except for nostalgia reasons
Space Station Silicon Valley no idea
Tom and Jerry Fists of Fury? no idea
Duck Dodgers? no idea
Command and Conquer? (Have had this suggested, don't know anything about) See my comment on Starcraft 64

Cut tabs. It's easier. The Sumo games are pretty fun. If you like pro wrestling, the Aki games are different than the ones released in the US (WCW/nWo Revenge, WWF No Mercy, etc.). Star Soldier is a decent shoot 'em up (the only one on the N64).

As for your idea no not bother with the NES... stupidest idea ever for a retro gamer. Get an NES. Tons of games can only be found on it (Xexyz, Faxanadu, Kick Master, Duck Hunt, Star Tropics, Duck Tails, Adventure Island 3, TMNT, and more and more and more...). The ones that were remade with better graphics (ie. Ninja Gaiden series, SMB series, Bionic Commando), actually play better on the NES in many people's opinions. GET AN NES.

Well well well Mr. Get a NES.

I didn't mean to list Starcraft twice, I'm sorry. On the fact of 'better PC versions' I know, I know, but if I can get a console version and it doesn't blatantly suck, I'll get it.

And the NES thing, I might still, but I'm not sure what games for it I could get. Heck, that's one system I'm actually kinda scared to look into, along with PS2, just for the sheer amount of titles. My cousin names it the Wii of the Golden Age. Full of crap games, but it has lots of gold nuggets among the shit.

IDK, lets stay off NES for now...

You're so pushy Breetai.

Cool link though. I'll be giving that a read myself. My nes collection is pitifully small.
