I'll just echo this. Played it last year, probably one of the best and most atmospheric FPS's I've ever played.

Also a few days ago, the the level select screen from Shatterhand blew me away, epic! (this video doesn't show much of it though).

The only game I could think of that really blown me away is Yoshi's Island's graphics...thats all I can think of...Oh yeah, I was blown away with Snatcher's voice acting and graphics.

I am still awed by the intro of the first Gran Turismo. It's still the best one.

Definitely still impressed by 2D graphics. I think I largely prefer it (except, of course, in FPSs) to modern 3D graphics.

I recently introduced my daughter to TMNT: Turtles in Time because it was easy for her to grasp. I still get awed that you can throw the foot soldiers at the screen and it became a paradigm for a boss battle.

that's a good example -- that actually is really impressive on 8-bit hardware. Dammit, I love that game!

When it comes to sidescrollers, or the pseudo 2D games that we usually see thesedays... sprites > polygons, always and forever.

Aw man same here! Everytime I turn on Turok 2 I go crazy from all the eye sex. Resident Evil 2 64 also made my jaw drop looing at that for the first time.

I have been playing Dreamcast with the VGA box and I have been blown away/hooked for almost a month. Cant put Skies of Arcadia down and finally beat Resident Evil Code Veronica. Now I know why theres so much Dreamcast love.

Also the music in Batman (NES) and Star Fox (SNES) get me pumped up for gameplay still to this day. Classic gaming is just so awesome.
