am not saying its not a great example
i am saying i dont feel it because both graphics look ancient that i dont see one is much better than the other, because bad graphcis to us are 3D n64 ones probably

and bad n64 3D is way much better than kirby
its a feeling thing not a fact thing
That's like saying 3D graphics are worse than 2D right out the box, most well-made* SNES games look much, much better than any 5th gen game out there. And a few NES games do also. I'd even say several SNES/GBA titles are more visually pleasing than a good amount of 6th gen stuff.

These are opinions btw.

Reminds me of a story though, 2 or 3 years back, there was this 14 year old girl. She had basically come up to her older relative and raved about finding Nintendo's original console, and about how old all the stuff was. She proceeded to describe the N64.

So I guess it's all relative.

A lot of younger teens and tweens today, N64 is the oldest system they know of besides the PS1. They just don't bother looking up old games, they're content with whatever Walmart and Gamestop are currently stocking. Why bother playing Alex Kidd when Mario Super Tennis 13 has just come out?

Oh I know
I'm sure most kids don't know anything exists in hand helds before the Game Boy Advance since that is all Game Stop offers.

Doesn't make it any less frown worthy or at least a :|

I'm been installing some respect for older games in my little bro though 8)
Don't get me wrong, he still loves Guitar Hero and GTA and his fav game is probably Call of Duty, but that doens't mean we haven't spent countless hours playing NBA Jam, Kirby's Avalanche and Super Mario Bros 3 together.

EDIT: He's 12, btw.

maybe i could not communicate my idea well
with the N64 example

I for one believe that NES graphics are really old that its just hard to say u found something with beautiful graphics on the system, i just feel they did the best they can with whatever they had.

On the other hand I do agree that starting with the 16-bit consoles games started looking good. I believe that some SNES games still pretty much looks amazing, Zelda looks awesome i think given how old it is.

speaking of this...
its now almost 6 years since the release of the 360...and still it has the best game graphics out there, and is pretty much still amazing.
I know PC is better, but how much better.

I mean the graphical jump between NES->SNES , N64->Gamecube was so huge its like u needed a new console. But now I really dont feel like i need to buy a new system for better graphics this is "almost" as good as it gets.

oh I don't know man. I remember growing up that me and my friends were so amazed by the NES' graphics. In fact, I specifically remember that my best friend often used the word "beautiful" to describe them. Though in fairness, his name was Ug and he was used to looking at cave drawings. So maybe you have a point.

i kind of feel like NES is to videogames like silent movies to films

maybe they had good ideas, but all they could put out is a no audio movie, no color, and fast moving people.

SNES is like when color was out. Now you dont have an excuse, even though technology advanced, ull find movies like Disney's Snow White from the 1930's better than animated movies released today.

I don't even know how to respond to that calmly.
