Papa & Yo



Vander Caballero grew up with an abusive alcoholic father whose drinking and drug use made his young life confusing and scray. Now he's made a game about it. In Papa & Yo you play a young boy named Quico whose best friend and protector is a creature named Monster. Monster and Quico care for each other very much, the only problem is that whenever a poisonous frog hops by, Monster will eat it and go into a fit of rage where not even Quico is safe.

Somebody failed history and made a video game.

This just released on Steam and is currently on sale for $8.99.

Really want to pick it up but not sure if I want to pick it up for more then 5 dollars. Will wait for the summer sale to see if it gets a 50% off.

There is an update on this game at indiegames.com. They tried the demo at E3 and interviewed the developer. Apparently he has worked for EA for a long time, but ventured out to become an indie developer because he wanted to tell his story through games. This is definitely one to keep an eye on.

It's worth it IMO. Short campaign, but there is a ton of replay value.
