Indie Watch 2011

Post by J T »

This is a thread for posting about upcoming indie games that look like they might be cool.

My first entry:
Voxatron

This game uses voxel graphics and is an arena shooter in the vein of Robotron or Smash TV.

Chantelise

It's from the same devs of Recettear, but it's an action RPG this time. Recettear sold so well that Carpe Fulgur announced that it would publish this earlier game in English.

You have to watch the trailer. It's a unique looking game set in an older America.

This is a really cool looking point & click adventure that has had some buzz around it for the past few months. It's now available for pre-order.

I have posted about this before. The game looks really interesting with an innovative use of photo software for adventure gaming. The developer frequently comments on the Experience Points Blog that I loosely follow (great blog), so I was excited to see he had not only made a game, but made it into the IGF.

This is a lovely looking point & click adventure. It looks like some of the old Lucas Arts games.

I really like the concept of this game. You are in a city and you have a small diarama of that city. If you change something in the diarama, it changes the same thing in the city. This allows for unique puzzles where you have to alter your surroundings by changing the map.
