Wow, Abadox looks amazing! Graphic style reminds me a lot of Blaster Master.

Hmmmm... perhaps technically the main character is the Vic Viper, as it's the default character. Still, when, thoughout the series, you have selections ranging from animals like an octopus (screw the singular, nobody uses that anyway!) or penguin to a sexy girl with bunny ears riding a rocket, I'd say the Parodius games should be in the list.
