SHMUPS that don't have a spaceship as the main character?

So, I was thinking about some SHMUPS that don't have a spaceship as the main character. The first two I could think of where:

Apidya on Amiga

And Agony, also on the Amiga:

You guys got any I can add to my list?

Cotton 2 Saturn ( witch on broomstick )

Sengoku Blade Saturn (flying samurais ) one of my favorites shmups

I can think of a few off the top of my head... by space ship I'm assuming you just mean a "ship" in general?

Undead Line
Insector X
Forgotten Worlds
Lords of Thunder
Hyper Duel (you can switch between being a mech and a ship)
Star Parodier
MUSHA
Spriggan

or get a modded saturn , because its overwelmed with alot of awesome shmups

What is that popular one (for TG-16 maybe?) that had a dragon as the character?
