The RE rail shooters on the Wii do sound cool and I'll consider checking them out when I get a Wii again. I just hope they don't funk with the story too much because damnit I take my RE too seriously!
Also wait, is Nintendo's showing for E3 over? It just kind of hit me because if it is... I don't think we heard anything about Xenoblade coming to the US, which I think some of us were expecting (which would boost my interest by about 200% in getting another Wii again sooner than later), or The Last Story, and I remember hearing rumors somewhere that Nintendo has licensed a lot of DS JRPG's like Soma Bringer, etc, for a US release sometime next year or something.
Like I was saying pages back Nintendo really needs to help enforce and utilize their 2nd party devs a lot and that includes Monolith Soft now, so if they really push them a bit more and help out a lot, they could have a nice grab on the JRPG market. Now the bigger issue would be, how many years will we have to wait to see Nintendo give us these games after they're released in Japan, IF we even do ever get them.
This is another issue I've had with the Wii. They've failed to localize a lot of huge titles or have just really taken their time on it, when I don't remember that being a huge issue on the N64/GC.

Their press conference was yesterday. I think all of the actual press conferences are either over, or are for known products.Xeogred wrote: Also wait, is Nintendo's showing for E3 over?.
According to Kotaku there was no news regarding those games, positive or negative.

About the quality games thing, maybe not all of you will agree, but I know a few people who would in a heartbeat.
The Mysims series are terrific games. The Original just oozes creativity, Kingdom is an awesome adventure themed version and Agents in a fun platforming spin on the series. They also have Racing, Flying and Party spin offs, only one I have being the party one. I honestly thing it's some of EA best work.
Of course Sonic Colors is a must-have for sonic fans, or at least 3D sonic fans, having been called the best 3D sonic game over and over again.
Also, some terrific, perhaps better than the original ports are Pikmin(yeah sorry, that's first party...) and Okami.
Honestly in most cases I like the Wii's graphics better, the cartoony whimsical look is sooo much better to look at while playing games in my opinion.

Anybody who says there is a lack of quality titles on the Wii are just idiots. It's got more quality exclusives than the fucking PS3 for crying out loud. Yet everybody on here seems to have their dick crammed so far into their PS3...

It's more ignorance(and occasionaly taste) than it is idiocy, and it's a problem everywhere it seems, no just here. All of my friends have Wii's, but half of them just bought Mario Party and Mario Kart, then hid it behind their PS3's and 360's. Addicted to Halo, DBZ Fighters and Red Dead respectively.Niode wrote:Anybody who says there is a lack of quality titles on the Wii are just idiots. I don't think anyone has said there's a lack of quality titles on the Wii, just that there are a lack of quality third party titles (which is a pretty widely held sentiment, especially if you start looking at percentages).Niode wrote:Anybody who says there is a lack of quality titles on the Wii are just idiots. And this comment is necessary why? I don't see any PS3 worshiping going on anywhere in this thread...Yet everybody on here seems to have their dick crammed so far into their PS3...

He never said that the PS3 didn't have any quality exclusives, Motorstorm being one of my favorites, but the Wii ultimately has better exclusives churned out mostly by Nintendo but other companies helping. Ex. Capcom

Xenoblade confirmed for Europe still has my hopes up... a tiny bit. Seriously those potential JRPG announcements were one of the biggest things I was hoping to hear about from Nintendo at this E3. Ugh.
