That's a big thing too. If you're totally new to the game playing against someone that's very good with their character, you pretty much have no chance at all and will feel totally helpless as you watch your character get combo'd into oblivion and can't seem to do anything to stop it. The game is VERY combo based, unlike (most) Capcom fighters (obviously not counting the vs games) and 3D fighters. I know combos can play a big role in Capcom fighters, but here it's pretty much required for competitive play. Do the challenge mode for the character you like. Once you can do like 50% of the challenges try doing them against other players or the CPU.
