I would recommend Shadow Hearts. I really enjoyed that game. Apparently the 2nd one is really good as well, but I wasn't able to get into it as quickly as the first.

If you just want help, gamefaqs has it all. If you want a nice physical guide for the collectability and art then the strat guide is a worthy purchase.
