Journey:
by now people should be familiar with this game. it's being created by thatgamecompany, creators of popular games that include Flow and Flower. a ps3 exclusive, Journey is somewhat of a social experiment said to be a online game where you may meet other people and join in on a journey to a mysterious mountain. there is no display of the person you are journeying with, rather the only way to identify someone is with a randomly generated emblem that each character gets. while some elements are still rather vague, it is said to be about socializing without the use of speech or text in order to create a stronger bond with the people you journey with. characters are rather striped down of ability's that would make you feel almost like a god, unlike many of the games we see today. this allows for a more epic like adventure and closer human emotions. I'm really excited for this game as everything about it (art style, gameplay, socialization) is something i wished for a game to have. making this a dream game for me. I can not wait.

Garshasp looks like a fairly typical 3D hack n slash. I don't know if there are any unique gameplay concepts here, but the graphics are impressive.

Concurrence

Image

Concurrence is a game heavily influenced by Another World and Flashback with a lead character that, to my eye, looks remarkably like Thom Yorke from Radiohead. This was done as part of an Adventure Games Studio competition and is an interesting use of the AGS since it is not a point n' click game.

There's a demo to play now and a full game to follow.

InMomentum

Image

InMomentum is a first person platformer game set in some surreal cubist landscape. I guess it's like Mirror's Edge if it was made by Picasso.

Here's a gameplay video

Paradox Shift

Image

This is going to be a first person puzzle game with cell-shaded graphics. It's about a group of people using time travel to work on creating a dam in the Grand Canyon. They use time travel to work the same day repeatedly to maximize productivity, until something goes horribly wrong.

Gameplay is completely different, but the visual style is just like the Mirrors Edge Pure Time Trials.

Bastion

Image

This is a pretty looking action rpg from an isometric perspective that appears to have a lot of building and puzzle solving. One of the cool things about this game is that it has a narrator who changes what he says based on what you do, which supposedly makes your actions feel all the more epic.

ArcMagi

Image

This game looks like a fighting game in presentation, but it is controlled with a mouse and appears to have battles that are more like an RPG, but with complex combinations of magics, sort of like Magicka. I am in love with the artwork of the characters.
