It's going to be:

Jonathan Liebesman ("Battle: Los Angeles," "Darkness Falls")
or
Duncan Jones ("Moon")
Tony Scott is also in the mix, but I doubt he'll get it.
Wonder Woman returns to television

Great. So Superman is going to fly extra fast, then in slow-motion for a second, then fly really fast again for the entire movie.Jrecee wrote:

Good, maybe then people will stop bashing Superman Returns and realize how good it actually was. This is what people were bitching about after all, not enough action and special effects. As they say, careful what you wish for. Singer apparently created something too smart for its audience:Luke wrote:Great. If they can make this as good as Lois & Clark I'll watch it.

I used to watch that show. It was fun. In retrospect, maybe better than Smallville ended up being. Speaking of which, I wonder if Smallville fans will flock to this since that series ends this monthMrPopo wrote:If they can make this as good as Lois & Clark I'll watch it.

I liked Lois and Clark as well. Didn't watch much of Smallville though so can't comment.Gamerforlife wrote:I used to watch that show. It was fun. Ivo.

Heroes season 2-4. Bionic Woman. The Cape.
I give this show 1 season only because it's a high profile character. But NBC has pretty much shown they can't do this kind of show.
I'd love to see a cable network tackle a superhero series (forget about Spike's Blade please). AMC? FX? HBO or Showtime?

First off, did Superman Returns make the rest of us realize how great Superman III and IV were?Gamerforlife wrote:Good, maybe then people will stop bashing Superman Returns and realize how good it actually was. And second off...meh. I'll watch it when it comes out, but I've never been a huge Wonder Woman fan. That original costume looks a bit too vinyl-y for my taste I guess, but the other one with the stars going up the legs I like. It actually makes me think of historical US military outfits.
Oh, and Superman Returns was still better than Ghostrider...though that's not saying much.
Re: Wonder Woman returns to television
I'd give it a chance if it was on AMC. They've proved that they can make a very enjoyable zombie series (so far) and I'm currently enjoying The Killing as well. But AMC would probably pick someone who was a little less "super" and a little more "I have mad skill and a couple of really cool toys." Someone who isn't particularly well known (but who could be if they got the show right), but has a decent dramatic back story they can take advantage of. Personally, I'd like to see a series about Green Arrow or Question, but I'd probably be alone on that oneJrecee wrote:I'd love to see a cable network tackle a superhero series (forget about Spike's Blade please). Not to mention that the first outfit screams "impractical." Those pants looked far to tight, and far to uncomfortable to fight crime in. Tight outfits work in comics, but as soon as you put one on an actual person people start to really question things like that. That's why movie studios, the good ones anyway, spend so much time on every detail. And what happens if she needs to be stealthy (lets forget the invisible plane, shall we?)? How is she supposed to sneak up on people if her squeaky pants give her away? That said, I still like the original Wonder Woman outfit better, even if the new pants are an improvement over those horrible shiny things.Ack wrote:That original costume looks a bit too vinyl-y for my taste I guess, but the other one with the stars going up the legs I like. Re: Wonder Woman returns to television
Apparently NBC has passed on the pilot. I thought this was a sure thing, but I can't say I'm disappointed. I wonder if anyone else will pick it up.
