Aw crap. There's meeting I have to go to now that runs until 12:30pm. I'll be showing up late to my own party. You guys will have to start without me.

When does the server go up? Is it up?

OK, so this thing seems to have turned into an epic fail.

I had to go into a 2 hour meeting that ran over time (I also had to change the IP because I was in a different location), then got wrangled into a 30 minute phone call, which I didn't attend to very well while trying to get things set up while a few racketteers were still there, then everyone was gone by the time I was able to do anything because they were frustrated from not being able to get things going. Ugh!

Sorry guys, I really thought I would have that noon time free, but I suddenly became hugely popular. I had to away another person taht wanted me to be somewhere at that time too.

This is why we need multiple events in a day. That gives more people options for games and times.

I've got the server thing set up. Currently, you should see a server called Racketboy in the available games list.

If anyone is still available with this game, send me a Steam chat invite.

As I mentioned to Dsh, I think this would be much more successful with an evening or weekend timeslot.

Yeah, there was no way I was going to make it to a noon PST timeslot, even if I DID have the game.

That generally doesn't work so well for me. If you guys want, I can create the event, but I can't attend it. Someone else would have to set themself up as the server, which wasn't that hard to do.

There is info here:
http://www.oldunreal.com/wiki/index.php ... rver_Guide

I didn't have to do every step laid out in that link. Like, I didn't have to edit my .ini files, for example. I was able to get a Racketboy server listed in the main list just by using the menu options within the game, punching in my IP address and port, and making it a dedicated server. What you will need to know though is that you then control the game setting, bans, etc. from the following web address: http://69.91.152.44/ServerAdmin/

Out of curiousity, why are weekends and evenings bad for you?
