Lunar SSSC is still one of the top RPGs to me. I'd love to be able to play the original Sega CD version sometime.

You can emulate it on PSX but there's no english version for Saturn.

Lunar was the first rpg I beat.
I have it for the sega cd and the remake on ps1.
The main difference, other than the graphics, is that on the sega cd the battles are random... you know: walk and get "zapped" into battle. On the PS1 you can see the enemy and try to avoid them.

There is also a Lunar for the GBA I have that too. The story is majorly modified but it is still fun.

I actually started playing the GBA "port/remake" recently... Without playing the other ones before. If the PS1 has less random encounters I can see myself playing that one despite having finished it once before. The question now is, should I continue to play the GBA port at all, or should I try to play the Sega CD version instead? I'm not playing essentially the same game 3 times (2 is enough, and I'm considering it because the PS version is allegedly relatively short and, not having random encounters is a big + feature in RPGs IMO).

Just for fun I would often swap the ball on top of the Turbo Stick with the one on the NES Advantage. They use an identical screw connector and I liked the heavier ball on top of the Advantage.

Thats really good to know. I really dig rpg's without random battles. But I still love the sega CD version all old and campy with those 16-bit graphics and cd quality sound.

I just dislike the fact that Lunar backups don't like to play in some Model 2 Sega CD's... But i bought the original and I don't regret it.
