Gaming Globes

Kayin, creator of I Wanna Be The Guy, observing that RPG maps don't make a whole lot of sense when laid out on a sphere, tried to do exactly that.

It's pretty cool. He made globes of Final Fantasy I, IV, V, VI (both World of Balance and Ruin), Dragon Quest III, Seiken Densetsu 2, 3, and Terranigma.

Nice find! Thanks for that. The music is a nice touch. It's cool how it fades away the further away the globe gets.

Seiken Densetsu 2 is kind of interesting because the game actually let you render the world map on a globe.
