What console's libraries are you an expert in?
Re: What console's libraries are you an expert in?
I definitely wouldn't call myself an expert. Though I do make a point of researching any game that looks even slightly interesting and I own a good amount of PS2 and PS3 games and am still building those collections. So I guess I'm pretty reliable for PS2/PS3 info.

I was just glancing over most of the posts, and didn't notice the rhyming, so yeah, I though you were just giving unneeded levels of detail. Really, you out to see how often they seriously discuss masturbation on teh vestibule over on IGN.final fight cd wrote:really? you thought i was being serious?BoringSupreez wrote: Come on, that's the kind of detail I expect to hear on IGN, not here.

And what's the big deal about discussing masturbation in detail? It's no different than any other subject. The whole point of message boards is to have discussions, you know.BoringSupreez wrote:I was just glancing over most of the posts, and didn't notice the rhyming, so yeah, I though you were just giving unneeded levels of detail. Why don't Mega Drive controllers work properly on the Mark III?
Why did Sega bother to redesign the Mark III for North America and PAL territories?
Why didn't Sega include the FM chip in the US/PAL Master System?
Why did they change the cartridge design for the US/PAL Master System?
Why are extra Mark III controllers such a pain to find?
That's all I can think of.

You know what I think of when I hear "Sega Master System"? I think "Sega Masturbation". Back when I played Kingdom Hearts II and unlocked the "Master Form" transformation I always thought of it as the "Masturbation Form." Good god I could go on and on all day. It's a terrible affliction I have. Anyone else share my horrible fate of word play?BoringSupreez wrote:I was just glancing over most of the posts, and didn't notice the rhyming, so yeah, I though you were just giving unneeded levels of detail. I was playing Lost Odyssey earlier today and there is a rather loud and annoying character called General Kakanas. My younger brother thought it was hilarious that I referred to him as "General-cock-in-ass."MrEco wrote:You know what I think of when I hear "Sega Master System"? I think "Sega Masturbation". 1: They should, as they work fine on a Japanese SMS. Better actually, since they'll work on games that usually have problems with Genesis/MD controllers (i.e. Alien Syndrome, Wonder Boy in Monster Land).
2: Perhaps to make it more appealing to Western consumers?
3: Because the FM chip didn't come around until 1987, a year after the SMS was released in the US. Plus, Sega would've had to redesign the PCB just to accomodate the FM chip, which would've been expensive if they did it for all regions.
4: A form of regional lockout, maybe?
5: I'm guessing that since Mark III controllers are holstered on the sides of the Mark III, people are less willing to part them out.

Re: What console's libraries are you an expert in?
I wouldn't say I was an expert on any particular console or handheld. I probably know more than many of the people here about some of the more obscure machines that I wrote 101 articles on, and I own a decently large collection of SNES and PS2 games, but I wouldn't call myself an expert on them by far.
