Why sarcasm. FFCC is a good series, sans the Wii game. Echoes of Time is one of the best ARPGs on the DS

Just treat it like the N64 Transfer Pak. I don't see what the big deal is; just use the DS/3DS games with Project Café games that support them.equalsign wrote: Not to sound nitpicky, but if you add a DS/3DS slot you're looking at... well... a DS/3DS system, but with a bigger screen. Ah, misread. I thought you said that they should add the slot on the controller and then allow you to play the games on the built in touch screen. I haven't slept and have been up all night studying for a final.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Just treat it like the N64 Transfer Pak. Yeah, I get that, but if I wanted to play multiplayer on a little screen on something I hold in my hands why would I buy a home console that hooks up to my TV?MrPopo wrote:From what it looks like, imagine your split screen multiplayer, instead of showing on the TV, would show on your controller. And maybe the TV would have a 5th "action cam" viewpoint for spectators. If you were playing single player you'd have the option of playing on the TV, but for multiplayer the action is on your controller.the King wrote:Inazuma wrote:This could end up being amazing for local multiplayer.
I guess, but can't you already do that with the DS? If I'm playing Mario Kart or something on my home console I don't want to be looking down at a tiny screen when I have a large wide screen HDTV. I can see it having some use like with the Dreamcast VMU you could use it to call plays in NFL 2k series and your opponent wouldn't able to see what formation you were looking at, but if I want to play a game on a tiny screen in my hands then I'll get a hand held system, not a home console.
Well, have a slot for it, just have it only work for certain games.equalsign wrote:Ah, misread. Haven't played the DS game. Supposing you count the downloadable games the series overall is a bit lackluster. I played the Gamecube game through with a couple friends. We had fun, but I don't think it was a game that deserved to be expanded with sequels. I just feel like there's very little in that game that isn't trumped by many other multiplayer games nowadays (especially on PC). I'd guess that's why they took the series in a different direction.fastbilly1 wrote:equalsign wrote:OR FOR ANOTHER CRYSTAL CHRONICLES GAME!!!

I'm not that tech savvy, but in order for it to play full games 3DS on the touch screen I think it would either need the full hardware of the 3DS inside or more powerful hardware capable of emulating it. I could see games having "Cafe" minigames or limited functionality (like the Pokemon move list you mentioned), but not playing full 3DS games on that touch screen.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Well, have a slot for it, just have it only work for certain games.equalsign wrote: Ah, misread. Well right, if it played 3DS games we're talking about a whole other thing. Add that to the fact that the controller only has one screen, and its functionality is limited as is.equalsign wrote:I'm not that tech savvy, but in order for it to play full games 3DS on the touch screen I think it would either need the full hardware of the 3DS inside or more powerful hardware capable of emulating it. Precisely what I thought I was saying. I'm falling asleep at the keyboard though so I'm sure it was like "Derp derp derp THE GRAPHICS derp." Going to go take my test now before I fall asleep and miss it and fail the class.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Well right, if it played 3DS games we're talking about a whole other thing.
