I dont know why they didnt give you the option of dpad movement, but if you have a classic controller you can control with the left stick. I dont know if that works with the Madcatz stick - it does not with the hori since it emulates the dpadracketboy wrote:Yeah it must be the combination of the sensor bar placement and the couch locations.kgcarini wrote:I have never had problems navigating menus with the wiimote. At my house it can be tolerable at time depending on where you are sitting and you often have to be sitting up or raise your arm. At Sarah's apartment, you have to search forever before you find the cursor unless you are standing up in the middle of the room. Really annoying when you just want to watch Netflix or play a Gamecube game.
I don't know why they just don't give you the option of using the D Pad

Call me when the next playstation is coming out. I'm not even sure I will pick up the 360 successor based on my gaming over the last year.

Re: Nintendo Wii 2 Codenamed 'Project Cafe'
another rumor hits the net:
source: http://www.1up.com/news/gta-developer-r ... -successorAfter releasing rumors about the Wii's successor last week, the website (01net) has now announced that Rockstar is already working on a new game for the system.
According to the website, the title is codenamed Project Café. Not much else is known at this point, since this is still just a speculation. Keep in mind though, that the Wii has always had a family-friendly image, so Nintendo may be trying to get some more of the hardcore market back with Rockstar if this is true.

Interesting.

If those images are real then it sounds like each controller is more like a PSP thin client around the central console unit. The majority of the electronics would be the actual screen itself, with the rest comprising of the buttons and the wireless receiver. I've actually done some research into wireless screen technology for my home setup and it is feasable at short distances (30 feet or less with line of sight). By rendering small screens at a time you can get good quality graphics at a low cost (processor wise). It's a very interesting idea, though I have no idea how real this actually is.

This could end up being amazing for local multiplayer.

That controller looks a whole lot like a Gamecube controller, which makes me as giddy as a schoolgirl.
This. The Dreamcast's VMU obviously started this idea, but the screen was too small, monochrome, and too low resolution to be used in many useful ways. The Gamecube tried this to a lesser extent with the GBA link cable, but it was too expensive of a setup to be practical. This, however, could be something special. It may not have the portability of either of the two aforementioned ideas, but the screen is built in, and is certainly big enough. Private screens are just what local multiplayer needs in home consoles.Inazuma wrote:This could end up being amazing for local multiplayer.

I will miss screen watching, though.
