Well, I can't buy the game for a while, but I'm an impatient twit, so I went to youtube and spoiled the entire story for myself.

That was damn cool, and really well done, but I must admit that I'm shocked at how it all ended.

Now I just wish I could actually play the damn game.

Reviewed! Looks pretty good (A 7 signifies 'Good' outside the usually bloated gaming journalism), but I'm not sure it's for me. Haven't touched the prior game for many months now.

Without giving away spoilers, does that mean the Story Mode's arc covers the entire series? Does the game start out with MK1 events?

I got the PS3 TE version. I am having fun with it. I am training myself with Ermac.

The fight stick is really nice, high quality. It does feel like the old school MK joysticks of my youth.

It begins right after the events of Armageddon but you go back in time to the time of the first MK and play from there.

It seems to hint pretty strongly at a sequel. I have no idea how it will go though, the ending events were a real shocker.

Finnished the story mode yesterday, and man this game really blows MVC3 out of the water.

They did a hell of a job cramming content into this game and not just content, good content.

I like that they took the time to make a good story mode, and then still give you character specific endings for the arcade mode.

Almost wish i had gotten the limited edition now.

Personal opinion, extremely different games

I plan to get it at some point but for now I have the Gears Beta to play

Im not comparing them so much from gameplay, but from the fact that capcom went a bare bones approach and did very little to warrant the 60 dollar price tag.

I dont think fighting games can really be just arcade and versus anymore at these price points.

I think Angry Joe had a point. Capcom knew the game would sell even if they barely put anything in it besides arcade and versus.

The training mode is the best I have ever seen in a fighting game. I would much rather have that personally than bonus unlockables or extras that dont really matter to me.
