Your Hardest Games
Re: Your Hardest Games
Yeah I think S&K is pretty easy all around honestly, getting all the Emeralds included. But that one I played the most as a kid next to Sonic CD, so perhaps that's why.

Re: Your Hardest Games
I've played Sonic CD and honestly the hardest part of that game for me is just finding those damned Roboticizers or whatever they're called. Other than that all the boss battles are pretty much a cinch I think. I haven't played it enough though.
Re: Your Hardest Games
With the exception of Wacky Workbench (which is just funky frustrating at times, not really tough or anything) yeah I think Sonic CD is by far the easiest one of the old games. That said, the atmosphere, backgrounds/art, settings, music (both versions), etc are unparalleled to me so it's my absolute favorite.
I think it's neat that it's one of the easiest Sonic games to finish faster than the others, but with those Roboticizers(?) hidden around the stages that can get you the Good Future in the third zones, along with the Metal Sonic projections that enable all the enemies, the game can be more of an adventurous platformer than the others if you want to play it that way. Sonic CD seems to have much bigger levels vertically and backtracking is pretty easy, compared to 1-3 and S&K where that's kind of impossible to do sometimes.
But yeah, as I mentioned earlier the final boss fight in this one is seriously one of the easiest final boss fights in existence for sure.

Ninja Gaiden for XBox. I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't even beat the first boss. Which is a shame, because it looks like a beautiful game and I was a huge fan of the original trilogy on NES.

Most fighting games, Metal Slug, And Super Mario Bros 3. I enjoy these games, but I can never beat them. SMB3 especially, my 2nd favorite in the series. We go way back

Bloody Palace in 4 ain't that bad after you've unlocked Super Dante/Nero. Bloody Palace in 3 is completely ridiculous though, have you tried it? DMC3 is probably the hardest one in the series overall (again, before you get all the super modes and what not).Xeogred wrote:Pretty sure I pulled that off as well, along with Heaven & Hell mode (where you killed stuff in one hit I think, but you died in one hit too?), don't think I cleared Hell & Hell mode though ... clearing that survival tower mode or whatever it was, that was pretty insane too. I had a blast with this game and all its modes honestly.brunoafh wrote:and beat Devil May Cry 4 on Dante Must Die mode. All that was pretty tough.
I love all of the DMC games though, even 2 and 4, which get a lot of criticism. My favorite 3D hack n slash by far. The reboot has sufficiently crushed my soul.

F Zero GX on gamecube, just ughhh.....

Same here, honestly this is pretty messed up but I have never beaten 1-3, haha... I've played chunks of 1 and 3 though and really enjoyed them, but somehow DMC4 was the one that really pulled me in and I remember it keeping me busy for awhile. Had a blast with it. So that said, since then I've been really meaning to go back and actually beat the old ones, probably even give 2 a shot (I wonder if that trilogy pack is hard to come by now?). Though I keep wondering if it'd get the HD collection treatment, but maybe not.brunoafh wrote:Bloody Palace in 4 ain't that bad after you've unlocked Super Dante/Nero. That said, I understand enough to know that the reboot looks and sounds horrendous so far and seeing what happened to RE after Mikami left, with Kamiya gone now I just can't help but fear what they'll do to the DMC franchise from here on. And Ninja Theory? Really? ...

Re: Your Hardest Games
Radiant Silvergun is one of my hardest games. I am trying to 1cc it on default mode. That is a challenge I am still trying to conquer.
