Assholes trying to take down PSN

Re: Hackers trying to take down PSN
I know a few posters have already posted about ajsracket, but I just have to say this:
Dude, calm the hell down. By bitching about Sony bashers bitching, you're making yourself just as annoying as you perceive them.

Also, this is bullshit. Here are the first three responses to your first thread:ajsracket wrote: You know what my FIRST response back to my FIRST question on racketboy was from your oh so cordial community? JUST FUCKING GOOGLE IT

I had a Frogger cart that looked pretty ugly on the pins and I got it working with using a sponge to remove the bad, then contact cleaner (or alcohol in a pinch) on q-tips to finish up.
Atari branded carts will have the guard but if you push a screwdriver or pencil in the 2 small slots you can push the guard back. If the carts are really bad they might need to be opened to clean properly. Unfortunately the screws are under the label. Peeling the label up or making a hole to get to the screws and fix them is preferable to throwing them away though.
Quit making shit up. Honestly, I'd love to meet you in real life. Not because I want to throw punches at you, but because I want to see how you really are. You're loud and obnoxious on our forums, but I bet you're quiet and docile in real life. Also, I don't think you're thirty-five.ajsracket wrote:I'm from the last generation that had balls, could take a punch as well as throw one, and don't whine about everything.

Let me just point out to you that copying a few bytes over the internet is not the same as stealing a car/food/DVD. When you steal a physical product that has cost the person stocking the product. It's a loss, they can't sell it if they no longer have it. Making a copy still means that the original is in tact and can still be sold. It's not cost anybody any money.irixith wrote:What a bizarre world view you have!Inazuma wrote:I only pirate games that I wouldn't normally buy. If I could make a copy of a car as easily as I could when pirating a film/game I would. You know why? Because it would be easy. Have I cost anybody any money? No because I've copied it.

You've cost the engineers who designed it, and the marketers/executives who brought it into the market.Niode wrote:irixith wrote:

I don't pull punches, i tell it like it is. People nowadays don't like that, they are over sensitive. People should grow a pair. Unlike most people who are afraid to voice their opinion and have to appologize for everything they say...i could care less. Take it or leave it. If someone out there does not like my posts they are free to keep right on scrolling. My life is not based on what others think of me.
On the subjet of my age, unlike our president, I HAVE a birth certificate showing january 27th 1976. Do the math.
As far as being "loud andf obnoxious"...sorry i don't prance around with my opinions, ESPECIALLY with hackers. Hackers are cheap pricks toolazy to earn something themselves. All they do is come up with excuse after excuse. I have ZERO sympathy for them, zilch, nada. Hackers are cowards, no wonder they are "annonymous" because they don't have the balls to fight like a man, so they hide behind a keyboard. In their warped minds they above all others have a right to disregard rules to suit themselves.
Why shouldn't they be able to home brew for free? I mean just because developers spend millions of dollars to create games? Oh they are stupid, they should steal like me look at me i'm a hacker i'm cool VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
Hackers are fags who need their heads caved in

Alright dude, just so it's clear: You deserve any ill treatment you get from this point out. Racketboy is a community that does not broker racism, sexism, sexual discrimination, or any of that bullshit.ajsracket wrote: Hackers are fags who need their heads caved in
You can either play nice with everyone and be played nicely with in return, or you can go 'tell it like it is' somewhere else where people might be impressed with your internet tough guy attitude. Make a choice and stop wasting our time or, if you insist on being a jerk, at least be an amusing one.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Hackers trying to take down PSN
Not exactly. You are correct in that copying doesn't actually take a physical item or money away from someone, however if you copy something instead of buying it, it would have cost people money.Niode wrote: Let me just point out to you that copying a few bytes over the internet is not the same as stealing a car/food/DVD. Moral piracy:
"I won't buy this car, but I will copy it."
The car makers don't lose or gain anything from you.
Immoral piracy:
"I would buy this car, but I will copy it instead."
The car makers don't get the money they would have gotten if you had bought the car. In other words, this does in fact cost them money.
