hi everyone ^^
what i use to do is the basic excel + storing the games where ever i can...
i use to keep cases and manuals separate from games and leave them somewhere safe (and if backup was available then i put all the originals away)

i don't have an impressive collection...but this post got me thinking about organizing (well eventually, hopefully i will have a good, solid collection)
have you guys ever visited an old 'manga room' , u know those places where you pay a couple to sit down and read?
well, i always liked manga shaped shelves (they slide, and it seems perfect for video games)... its not ideal for presenting (i always preferred a subtle way of presenting), but if some how you could convert a walk in closet...

also, i'm pretty sure there are much better method to categorizing/organizing a collection using a computer than picasa... but if someone had the time (and paitience) the could make a nice looking database-esque with picasa
i need money...

Right now I've got all my Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2 and Gamecube games organized alphabetically and by console on a black bookshelf, although I'm almost out of room. All my retro games are organized into plastic bins along with their respective consoles.

I plan to get a much larger shelving system once I move, but I might need to find a cheaper solution until then. I was looking at these...

Probably would be at least good for transporting them during the move.

I've got old built in bookshelves in my living room and one of them is deticated to games. And I keep the extra controllers, memory cards and what nots in some stylish shoeboxes just to the side. They are organized alphbetically by system, and I try to put the games in old to new school order with all Nintendo, Sega and Sony groups together. I need a new entertainment center though.....
