Dragon Ball Kai Is Ending
Re: Dragon Ball Kai Is Ending
It'd be nice for them to use this opportunity to create new Dragonball material. Doubt that will happen though.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Even if they did, it'd probably be really shitty anyhow.Flake wrote:It'd be nice for them to use this opportunity to create new Dragonball material. Doubt that will happen though.

They need to dub Dragon quest anime.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai Is Ending
If they ever made any new DB material, it would be as if GT never happened. The creator of DB and DBZ said himself that GT is all filler and never happened. There was a DBZ movie that came out in 2008. it takes place shortly after DBZ but it's not dubbed yet.
I also prefer Dragon Ball over DBZ, it has more realistic fighting and it's funny. GT is complete shit. But I do like DBZ Kai more than DBZ, the dialog is a lot better and it cuts out everything I don't want to see.

I doubt that there's a lot you could do with another DB series honestly.
Re: Dragon Ball Kai Is Ending
Was the DBZ manga as poorly paced as the show? I find it amusing how it managed to stretch a 5 minute period in the story to last something like 5 whole episodes!
I remember back when I was in high school, DBZ was still Japan-only and the only way to see it was to get nth generation tapes from comic book stores (remember those?) or Chinatown. Back then, DBZ seemed like a mythical and super-cool representation of this exotic thing called "japanimation" (years before "anime" became the preferred term). This was a time when being a fan of anime was like being in on a great secret...or being a huge nerd.
Its interesting now to see how mainstream and popular DBZ has become since that time- warts and all. Hell, I laugh at all the modern Otaku who hate on the series so much that some claim it isn't even real anime. In the early days of the mainstreaming of anime, DBZ was THE mythical anime/manga. How times have changed.

For DBZ, they added A LOT to make the show last longer, all those 10 minute screams and powerups were not in the manga. There were full arcs that were not in the manga. Garlic Jr. was made up for the show. This is why Kai is better. Cuts all that shit out.Zerodash wrote:Was the DBZ manga as poorly paced as the show? But it also cuts out all the in-between fun side story episodesdarthmunky wrote:For DBZ, they added A LOT to make the show last longer, all those 10 minute screams and powerups were not in the manga.
