It is the bane of my existence. Anyway, it seems like only the SNES Mini needs modification, so I should be good for everything else.
this mod is really easy. I haven't looked at the gamesx one, but I see it when I was figuring out how to mod minis for s-video. Just three wires, if I remember correctly. No additional stuff needed.

It's just a couple of wires and a couple of 75 ohm resistors. The RGB mod is the same, only with three wires and resistors (four if you want composite sync). If you omit the resistors or use smaller value resistors for S-video, the picture will be too bright.

I just recently started putting together a SCART to YUV setup and so far i'm very happy with it.
However, i made the mistake of getting one of the SNES SCART cables with the A/V outputs, so the picture is really muddy and looks worse than a regular composite input.
I just need some advice on the right type of SNES RGB SCART cable to buy. One that only outputs RGB.(planning to buy of of Rob Webb's site). I've read that the N64 SCART cables work with the SNES, but i want to ask here first before i make a purchase.

That looks like what i need! I honestly didn't think to check Play-Asia for SCART cables because i've heard there are cables in Japan that 'look' like SCART cables, but are completely different than European cables. Thanks for the link Shogun.
I would think if they call it an RGB cable and not SCART then it probably uses the J pinout (which to my understanding is what the xrgb devices use).
Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.
