Thank you to everyone on this thread. (And alot of thanks to Anapan, my mom also says that your helping out alot)
I think it's great that you and your mother were able to make up, but she needs to pay the full amount of a new Action 52, not half. It's called responsibility. It's important for the parent to be responsible and be a good example for her children. If you fuck up, you apologize and make up for it. If you took $200 from someone, you give them $200 back.
Agreed here too, of course. Yet, perhaps compromises have to be reached in order to keep the peace as best as possible? Yes, she SHOULD be replacing the full $200. She IS setting a bad example by cutting your well short, but is it worth pursuing? Your call. Maybe the resolution you've already reached is good enough for you?

I'm with the above. If you take money from someone, you pay back the full amount. She essentially stole something that was yours and she should compensate you for the $200 or if you can find it cheaper.....
...The full amount for a new game.

Glad to hear some good news for a follow up. Not as good as it could be, but certainly a step in the right direction.

It's good to see this being resolved in a civil and peaceful manner, and I do hope your mom will respect your privacy and your rights from here on (not just this one time hopefully).

I won't question the bonds of your relationship with your brother here, but I do hope everyone tries to understand how a family should live together. That's all I can say.

Sweet sentiment, I like it. Mind, if I were in a similar situation, I'd syphon off all their
stuff into an inpromptu garage sale and with the proceeds, refill their wardrobes with
nothing but Cheetahmen costumes. Just to really nail home the point.
