In Japan. Also, I did not know of any of this. Very educational.

Edit: In hindsight, with my current financial state, I should not have learned this and will do everything I can tonight to forget about this. (Hm, blunt trauma or chemical imbalance?)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

Yahoo Japan is very different from the Yahoo we're used to. It is still very popular and very useful. Just the auction part alone has high traffic since there are really no other big auction sites in Japan other than Rakuten, and Rakuten usually doesn't have very much.

Yeah, Yahoo Japan has lots of rare stuff that's impossible or very very hard to find on ebay or other Western auction sites. They're usually much cheaper too (although when you add shipping + deputy service fee it can add up to about the same I suppose).

I'm surprised that Ebay hasn't tried to get back into the market again.

I looked at the prices for some stuff and they're not that much cheaper than Ebay for a lot of things like Gamecube component cables. I thought maybe they might be $10 but in reality, most of them are $50+, not factoring shipping.

There's definitely some neat stuff that you don't see too often like lots of spice orange gamecubes, silver gameboy players, etc.

I think if you buy in lots you'll save money.

Wow, some nice information in here. I didn't even know about websites like tenso.com

Obviously, you might not save much on most items (after fee + shipping), however, it is nice having another source to obtain some goodies from Japan. :)

I think that all depends on how much you buy, and how much cheaper it is. I definitely think you'll save on money buying the Japanese versions of Megaman 7, X2,X3 than the american versions, and you'll probably due slightly better than buying the Japanese versions on eBay.

Many Yahoo Japan sellers are well aware people from overseas are looking at their stuff, and they'll inflate prices accordingly. They know of deputy services, and the people who sell in large volumes have agreements with places like Rinkya. This sounds quite the opposite of the U.S., but to really find good stuff at good prices, you'd have to go to an actual store.

The cheaper stuff online is better found on rakuten japan (buy.com's Japanese sister), but it is snagged up very quickly so things are harder to find. You'd have to spend a lot of time monitoring that site to locate good deals . If you try to go to rakuten outside of Japan, it'll route you to their US site. Be sure to click on "JAPANESE"

I have used Celga's service in the past without any problems, make sure you are aware of services fees besides the winning bidding price and shipping fees.
