I'm in support I'd buy the game brand new if they did licencing is crap when they want to do something they do licencing it or not they always find a way around if demand is there.Betamax001 wrote:I would totally buy this. It sure beats paying 30-40 dollars for certain entries...Hell they could put each one separate on PSN and I would probably pick them up. MMMM Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter in HD...*drools*

Really? XBox has the most powerful hardware out of the 3, and it has the crappiest port? Ironic.benf wrote: Dreamcast MvC2 = only difference worth mentioning from the NAOMI arcade disc is Anarkis doesn't have his infinite.
PS2 MVC2 = Cyclops assist loses invincibility. Occasional slowdown.
X-Box MVC2 = Definite slowdown depending on what is on-screen.
360/PS3 ports have another bunch of issues and things in them that are bugging fans. Most of it has to do with the specific timings of pressing a successive light attack and whether you will get light or medium of the kick/punch. There are more differences, but go read the thread in the MVC2 sub-forum of SRK forums.
Dreamcast is preferred for serious home play. PS2 or current-gen consoles are the next choice. X-Box 1 is avoided.
Capcom will never make a VS. series compilation, btw. The licensing would cost would eat into their profit too much.

Yes that version did not carry over well.BurningDoom wrote:Really? XBox is has the most powerful hardware out of the 3, and it has the crappiest port? Ironic.benf wrote: Dreamcast MvC2 = only difference worth mentioning from the NAOMI arcade disc is Anarkis doesn't have his infinite.

This doesn't surprise me, the game was built on Naomi hardware so of course the DC would benefit most from it. Next would have to be the PS2 since all devs primarily worked on that machine after the DC went under, leaving the XBOX in 3rd mainly because it wasn't a priority.Bradtemple87 wrote:Yes that version did not carry over well.BurningDoom wrote:Really? Buggy as it may be, it probably loaded faster than the PS2 version.Saraph wrote:This doesn't surprise me, the game was built on Naomi hardware so of course the DC would benefit most from it. (Also, modern D/L versions.. very graphically buggy. Played the 360 arcade version and even the Hyper Combos cause garbage to appear along the edges of the screen.)
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis.
Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.

I want to say to "take it into your own hands and just pirate the damn games". Because it's not like they will ever be available again.
Plus, emulators will always offer more than the game companies ever will (I'm talking about features and options, not game selection).
But I'm probably just walking in front of a firing squad saying such things...
Oh, and I'm also assuming (hoping) that emulating fans of these games respect Capcom enough to at least obtain MvsC2 legitimately, as that is currently available.
