Scrapped Princess is a great series to check out if you like a good fantasy adventure. It's not one you're likely to hear about often either, but it's excellent all the same.
You cant watch that without the cherry on top, which is Riding Bean!!!

But, i do an anime streaming on sundays here at this thread: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 15&t=24714

Ive been doing this since september and i seem to get more and more people per week who either subscribe or more channel views. Some stuff you might like, others you may hate, but i have 20 weeks of nothing but a variety of anime ive been showing online. You should check it out.

Riding Bean is the pilot to what became of Gunsmith Cats that we know today. The character design for Blonde Rally is (as far as i know) is owned by AIC or Artmic for copyright reasons. So Sonoda redid Riding Bean to Gunsmith Cats, but at least he was able to bring over Bean Bandit to the manga.

If you like GSC/Riding Bean, read the GSC manga, its as action packed as any american movies in GN form, then read GSC: Burst since its really the final part of the series.

Yes, watch this. Now. Record of Lodoss War is both one of my absolute favorite animes and animated depictions of a fantasy world. If you never watch another fantasy anime again after seeing it, that's fine, because you'll already have seen one of the best there is. And then you can follow it up by importing the Super Famicom RPG or picking up the NTSC-U Dreamcast Action RPG.

You know, it's about time I watch this again.

As for other series...Iria was fun, and I enjoyed New Dominion Tank Police back in the day. Patlabor's a classic that you should check out, and Roujin Z is hilarious fun about a crazy robot that cares for the elderly...

...can any of you tell I really haven't watched new anime in nearly a decade?

Death Note. I'm not a huge fan of anime by any means but I really like shows such as Cowboy Bebop and Hellsing, and I found Death Note to be one of the most enjoyable and engrossing things I've ever watched.

Going to mention Scrapped Princess again.

It really is worth watching.
some plot summary I copy/pasted from somewhere wrote:Pacifica Casull is the most feared and hated person by the followers of the God Mauser. Known as the Scrapped Princess, she is the poison that will destroy the world. To avoid being killed by the zealots of Mauser, Pacifica and her adoptive brother and sister leave the village of Manhurin. Her brother, Shannon, is an expert with the sword while Racquel is proficient with magic. At every step of the way, however, someone is constantly trying to kill Pacifica, hoping to somehow avert the catastrophe that is supposed to befall the world on her 16th birthday.

I found the original Dominion Tank Police US Manga DVD like last month for like 5 bucks at a FYE. Definetly worth it. :D

And im a huge fan of ROLW. Ive seen the OVA about 2 or 3 times, Id rather get into that than LOTR any day. And Roujin Z is madness.
